Strigosella africana (L.) Botsch.

This species is native to Mediterranean region, extending to Central Asia and W Himalaya, Arabian Peninsula, NW India. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There is one species of Strigosella occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

A bushy annual herb ; up to 35(-40) cm tall . Stems erect , thinly to densely tomentose with branched hairs . Leaves 2–8×1–3 mm , elliptic to oblong-elliptic to obovate , margins entire to dentate . Inflorescences in lax racemes . Flowers pale pink to mauve , non aromatic ; sepals 3–6 mm , saccate or not ; petals 6–10mm ; stigma lobes decurrent . Fruit siliqua , 4–7 cm , cylindric , often straight , densely tomentose . Seeds 1-1 . 2 mm , oblong . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
