Leaves alternate , narrowly elliptical , attenuate at the base , acute apex , margin with small obscure teeth , slightly hairy . Inflorescences in loose clusters of 1 to 5 . Flowers blue to pale violet , nodding in fruit ; calyx lobes acute , hirsute ; petals tubular-campanulate ; stamens narrowly triangular .
