Annual herb ; up to 25 cm tall . Stems erect or ascending , slender , simple or with few branches from base , 3-angular and broadly winged , hairless or rarely pubescent . Leaves alternate , pale green , ovate to broadly ovate to elliptic , acute or obtuse at the apex , falt or shallowly herat-shaped base , margins 5-6 dentate , glabrous or rarely pubescent on both sides . Inflorescences solitary , in lax terminal and axillary leafy racemes . Flowers calyx yellow green ; corolla pink , pale mauve or pale blue , usually with darker markings , bi-lipped ; filaments linear ; anthers whitish , united to form a tube ; ovary subinferior . Fruit capsule , obovoid to narrowly obconical , ± 8-nerved . Seeds 0 . 35–0 . 45 mm long , ellipsoid , slightly compressed , smooth , pale red-brown . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
