علم تشكل النبات


Small , densely branched shrub ; up to 2 m , with a white powdery covering . Stems slender , much branched ; young twigs with whitish scales , becoming glabrous with age ; bark smooth , reddish-brown . Leaves alternate , simple , grey/green , ovate , obtuse tip , rounded base , entire margins , covered in white powder . Inflorescences solitary or in few-flowered racemes . Flowers zygomorphic , yellow-green ; sepals 4 , green/brown , concave ; petals 4 , pale yellow , linear-elliptic , clawed ; stamens 4-5 , long protruding ; ovary on a 10-15 mm long gynophore . Fruit cylindrical , many seeded with a white powdery covering . Seeds surrounded by a red or orange membrane or flesh . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
