Annual herb ; up to 10 cm high , glandular-pubescent . Stems erect , many , branching from the base , greyish-green . Leaves opposite , mostly basal , few on the flowering stems , linear to linear-subulate , acute tip , almost spiny , usually 7-nerved . Inflorescences in axillary or terminal cymes (in congested dichasial cymes) . Flowers white , tiny ; calyx campanulate ; seplas 5 , unequal , narrowly-ovate , free , 3-5-nerved , glandular ; petals white , ovate- oblong , shorter than the sepals . Fruit capsule , narrowly ovoid , splitting by 3 valves . Seeds finely tuberculate . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
