Leaves spathulate , oblanceolate or rarely elliptic , 2–15(–22) x 1 . 5–6 . 5(–8) mm , retuse , rounded to acute and apiculate at the apex , cuneate at the base , glabrescent or with scattered hairs , sometimes appressed pubescent when young , green to pale green . Inflorescences solitary or 2–4 together . Flowers female flowers with 3–5(–8) mm long pedicels ; sepals 5 , puberulous to pubescent with scattered hairs outside ; corolla 5-lobed , tube 2–3 mm long ; staminodes 5 , without anthers ; male flowers with pedicel 1–1 . 5 mm long with 2 filiform bracteoles near middle or towards base ; sepals 5 ; corolla 5-lobed , tube 2–5 mm long ; stamens 5 . Fruit capsule , 3–4 mm long . Seeds 2 x 2 mm , orange to brown . (Ref . POWO ; 2022) .
