Suffruticose perennial herb ; up to 80 cm tall . Stems erect to decumbent to ascending , slender , branched , arising from a woody base , very densely and shortly whitish-grey sericeous . Leaves opposite , few , mainly in lower part of stem , subsessile , grey-green , ovate to oblong to obovate-elliptic , base cuneate , apex rounded to usually retuse , or shortly apiculate , margins entire , pubescent , petiolate . Inflorescence axillary , in 1-3-flowered lax racemes . Flowers sepals 5 , equal , broadly ovate , convex , abruptly short-acuminate , densely sericeous or often tomentose outside ; corolla white or greenish-white , subrotate or shortly campanulate . Fruit capsule , ovoid , villous at the apex . Seeds black , strongly compressed . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
