Stems subsucculent to ± woody , erect to ascending , usually branched from base , up to 15 cm , sparsely glandular-hairy . Leaves alternate , simple , sessile , succulent , terete or flattened , oblong to linear or oblong-lanceolate , entire , acute , glabrous , glaucous . Inflorescence cymose , (1–)2(–9)-branched , glaucous to glandular . Flowers 5-merous , small ; sepals free , ovate to triangular , often glandular , apiculate , ± glabrous ; petals free , white , sometimes with a red mid-vein , narrowly ovate to triangular , 2–4(– 6) , mucronate .
