Leaves simple , thick , fleshy , broadly ovate , patiolate , palmately 3-5-lobed , lobes varied in shape but generally ovate , base shallowly cordate , margins entire ; tendrils simple . Inflorescence monoecious or dioecious . Flowers male flowers axillary , in small subsessile clusters ; sepals minute , dentiform ; petals pale greenish-yellow ; female flowers solitary , subsessile . Fruit ovoid or subglobose , fleshy , green with darker green stripes , red when mature . Seeds ovate in outline , compressed , smooth , 3 mm long . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
