Leaves opposite , clustered at the end of branches , 4-5 . 5 cm , suborbicular , apex rounded and minutely apiculate , base abruptly tapering into the petiole , margin entire ; petiole ± 2 cm . Inflorescences pseudumbels , 2-3 with primary rays 6 cm , forking up to 4 times ; cymes lax ; bracts sessile , suborbicular . Flowers cyathia , with cup-shaped involucres ; glands 3(-4) , creamy white with a pink base ; lobes 5 , triangular , margins deeply toothed . Male flowers: bracteoles few , ligulate , 2 . 5 mm long , deeply divided ; stamens far exserted , with pedicels 3 . 5 mm long ; filaments to 2 . 8 mm long . Female flower: ovary glabrous ; styles 3 mm long , joined almost to the shortly bifid thickened apices .
