Erect , prostrate or ascending annual herb ; up to 20 cm high . Stems ascending to trailing or creeping , glabrous to sparsely pubescent . Leaves 1-foliolate , oblong , obtuse to emarginated at the apex , subcordate to truncate at the base , finely puberulous and with longer hairs beneath , dark-green , petiolate . Inflorescences axillary , terminal or leaf-opposed , dense to lax ; peduncle 1–3 cm long . Flowers pinkish or purple ; calyx 7-8 mm , pale green , becoming scarious ; corolla about as long as the calyx . Fruit pod , linear-oblong , constricted in between the segments , transversely ridged , puberulous , indehiscent . Seeds 1 . 5 mm long , reddish brown or olive in colour , compressed . (Ref .
