Astragalus arpilobus subsp. hauarensis (Boiss.) Podlech

This subspecies is native to Arabian Peninsula, N Africa, Palestine, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. (Ref. Flora of Oman; vol.2). There are 8 species of Astragalus found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Annual herb ; up to 15 cm tall . Stems prostrate or creeping or decumbent , densely sericeous to pubescent with simple basifixed hairs . Leaves stipulate , imparipinnate with 5-9 leaflets ; leaflets 5-12 , elliptic-oblong to elliptic , apex rounded to emarginated , sericeous to pubescent . Inflorescences borne in 3-5 flowered racemes . Flowers lilac to white ; calyx ± 7 mm , lobes acute ; corolla with standard ± 10 mm . Fruit pods , sessile , 15-30 x 2 . 5-3 mm , almost circular in section , curved , deeply grooved along one side , sericeous to pubescent , partly bilocular , 12-20-seeded . (Ref .
