Leaves alternate , 1-3-foliolate ; leaflets 22-70 x 18-37 mm , ovate to ovate-laneolate , obtuse with the midrib extending to form a short mucro , rounded or truncate at the base , pubescent on both surfaces , petiolate . Inflorescences axillary and terminal , 4–17 cm long . Flowers purple-mauve , small ; calyx 2-3 mm , sparsely pilose , persistent ; corolla with standard purple or light blue ± 3 mm , obovate . Fruit pod , 11-15 mm , segments 5-6 , pubescent , beaked , yellow-green . Seeds 2 mm long , 1 . 5 mm wide , yellow or chestnut-brown , rounded or oblong-ellipsoid . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 2) .
