Unarmed shrub ; up to 1 . 5 m tall , with brown bark with narrow longitudinal cracks . Stems branched , leafy ; twigs brown , shortly appressed pubescent . Leaves imparipinnate with up to 50 pairs of leaflets ; leaflets 10-15 x 2-3 mm , opposite , subopposite or alternate on petiolules 1 mm long , oblong , emarginate at the apex , dark green and glabrous above , pale green and puberulous beneath on the midrib and margins , the terminal leaflet oblong-cuneate . Inflorescences on axillary short shoots 1–2 cm long hanging singly in the axils of one or more of the 2–4 bracts . Flowers pendulous ; calyx campanulate , 9-10 mm , lobes triangular , puberulous , dull pink ; petals oblong , subequal , 30 mm , white to cream aging pink to reddish , falling soon ; filaments borne on the rim of the receptacle , glabrous ; anthers 3 mm long ; ovary pale green , glabrous , ± 12 mm . long ; ovules 11–12 , transverse .
