Leaves alternate , 5-7 pairs of leaflets ; leaflets with toothed margins and weak , spreading , glandular hairs . Inflorescences solitary , axillary ; peduncle 0 . 7–2 cm . long . Flowers small , bilaterally symmetrical ; petals white or lilac to violet ; stamens 9 ; ovary 2–3 × 1–1 . 5 mm , ovate . Fruit pod , dry , small , inflated , ovate-oblong , with glandular hairs , 1–2(–4)-seeded . Seeds to 14 mm in diam . , oblong-obovoid , laterally compressed , with smooth or rough surface , variable in colour (usually creamy-whitish when dried) . (Ref . POWO ; 2022) .
