Annual herb ; up to 35 cm tall , with somewhat woody stems . Stems erect , slender , branched , appressed , pubescent . Leaves 3-foliolate ; leaflets 6-15 x 2-4 mm , obovate , apex obtuse , truncate , or retuse , base cuneate , margin emarginated . Inflorescences in congested racemes . Flowers yellow ; calyx 2-3 mm , lobed to half its length , lobes triangular , pubescent , persistent ; corolla with standard petal yellow , tinged brown ; wings oblong to obovate , 3-4 mm ; keel ± as long as wings , angular , 3-4 mm ; stamens all joined with 5 long and 5 short anthers ; ovary sessile . Fruit pods 3-4 , globose to subglobose , inflated , apex shortly beaked , white-pubescent , 1-2-seeded . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 2) .
