Annual or short-lived perennial herb ; up to 30 cm long , with prostrate radiating stems . Stems spreading , prostrate to decumbent , appressed pubescent . Leaves 3-foliolate ; leaflets 6-16 x 4-8 mm , obovate to broadly elliptic , the terminal leaflet largest , appressed pubescent on both surfaces or glabrous . Inflorescences solitary in leaf axils , sessile , with a pedicel-like , narrowly winged hypanthium 8-10 mm long . Flowers yellow ; calyx 10-15 mm , 4-lobed , lobes ovate-elliptic , pubescent outside , margins ciliate , enclosing the corolla , persistent ; corolla with standard petal yellow-brown , reddish on the back and medially pubescent ; keel angular , 10-12 mm ; stamens all joined with 5 long and 5 short anthers . Fruit pods 12-14 x ± 7 mm , ellipsoid , inflated , very shortly beaked , pubescent , more so on the suture , many-seeded . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 2) .
