Leaves paripinnate with 4-9 pairs of leaflets ; leaflets 30-45 x 15-20 mm , ovate-lanceolate , apex rounded to emarginated , entire margins , mucronate . Inflorescences in terminal or axillary racemes , often branched . Flowers bright yellow , red-spotted ; sepals 5-7 mm , oblong , shorter than the petals ; petals bright yellow , 8-10 mm , red-spotted ; stamens 4 . 5–7 mm ; ovary covered with stiffish hairs . Fruit pod , 5-7 x 3-5 cm , broadly ovate-cylindric , densely covered with 5-7 mm long prickles , green turn brown when mature , 1-2-seeded . Seeds ± 20 x 16 mm , grey , subglobose , smooth . (Ref .
