Hippocrepis unisiliquosa subsp. bisiliqua (Forssk.) Bornm.

This species is native to Mediterranean to Iran and Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2022). There are 2 species of Hippocrepis found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Annual herb ; up to 20 cm long . Stems branched from the base , erect , ascending to ± prostrate , glabrous . Leaves alternate , imparipinnate with 4-5 pairs of leaflets ; leaflets obovate , apex truncate or retuse , glabrous , pale green . Inflorescences solitary or 2 in leaf axils . Flowers sessile or subsessile , pale yellow ; calyx 2-3 mm , lobes linear-lanceolate , white-pubescent , persistent ; corolla with standard 4-5 mm , yellow , wings yellow , keel turning upwards . Fruit pod , 30-40 mm , flattened , 4-12-segmented , sparsely pubescent and pubescent along the margins , bright green , segments not separating into joints at maturiry . (Ref .
