Indigofera intricata Boiss.

This species is native to . (Ref. POWO; 2022). There are 16 species of Indigofera found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Procumbent to prostrate , perennial herb or shrublet ; up to 40 cm tall . Stems woody , grey-green , somewhat zigzag , prostrate to ascending , appressed white-pubescent , lateral branches spinescent . Leaves imparipinnate with 5-7 leaflets ; leaflets 3-5 x 2-4 mm , opposite to subopposite , obovate , apex obtuse to truncate , base tapering , appressed pubescent on both surfaces . Inflorescences in short axillary racemes . Flowers scarlet red , 2-3 mm ; calyx c . 3-3 . 5 mm long , densely pubescent . Fruit pods , 8-10 x ± 3 mm , not flattened , grey-green to brownish , densely pubescent , 2-4-seeded . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 2) .
