Leobordea platycarpa (Viv.) B.-E.van Wyk & Boatwr.

This species is native to Africa, E Mediterranean to Arabian Peninsula, eastwards to Pakistan. (Ref. POWO; 2022). There is only one known species of Leobordea occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Annual herb with a very short stem ; up to 20 cm high . Stems prostrate , slender , much-branched , pilose . Leaves opposite on flowering shoots , 3-foliolate ; stipules ± 5 mm , oblong , pilose ; leaflets 3-7 x 2-3 mm , lateral leaflets smaller , oblanceolate , rachis absent . Inflorescences sessile , in terminal , umbellate . Flowers yellow ; calyx ± 5 mm , tube membranous , lobes 1-2 mm , linear , pilose ; corolla with standard petal up to 4 mm , shortly pilose ; stamens all joined into a tube split on the upper side with 4 long and 6 short anthers . Fruit pod , ± 6 x 3 mm , oblong , obtuse , ± inflated , c . 10-seeded . Seeds 1–1 . 5 mm long , oblique-cordiform , smooth , brown . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 2) .
