Microcharis tritoides (Baker) Schrire

This species is native to NE. Tropical Africa and Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2022). There is only one species of Microcharis occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Perennial ; up to 0 . 5 m tall . Stems erect or decumbent , densely appressed silvery pubescent . Leaves digitately 3-foliolate or some leaves simple ; leaflets 10–35 x 1 . 5–25 mm , linear to broadly obovate , silvery on both sides . Inflorescences in up to 30-flowered racemes , longer than the leaves . Flowers calyx 2–3 . 5 mm long , divided to the middle into narrowly triangular lobes ; stamens 3–5 mm long . Fruit pod , 25–45 x 2 mm , straight or upcurved , silvery , ± 14-seeded . (Ref . POWO ; 2022) .
