Podolotus hosackioides Royle ex Benth.

This species is native to S Arabian Peninsula (Oman), Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and W Himalaya. (Ref. POWO; 2022). There is only one species of Podolotus occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Dwarf perennial ; up to 12 cm . Stems prostrate , spreading , glabrous to sparsely pubescent . Leaves paripinnate with 6 pairs of leaflets ; leaflets 0 . 5-2 mm , obovate to suborbicular , sparsely pilose . Inflorescences solitary in the axils of leaves . Flowers calyx ± 2 mm , lobed above ; corolla 4-5 mm , back of the standard petal red , yellow within . Fruit pods , 10-11mm , somewhat inflated , 2-3-seeded , glabrous , dehiscent . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 2) .
