Pseudolotus villosus (Blatt. & Hallb.) Ali & D.D.Sokoloff

This species is native to Arabian Peninsula, Iran and SW Pakistan (Baluchistan). (Ref. POWO; 2022). There is only one species of Pseudolotus occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Small , annual herb ; up to 15 cm high , hairy . Stems prostrate , white-villous . Leaves 3-4-foliolate , opposite , crowded on stems , greyish ; stipules represented by glands ; leaflets 8-15 x 2-6 mm , oblong , obtuse to acute at the apex , entire margins , densely villous and glandular-punctate . Inflorescences single or in 2-flowered axillary umble ; peduncle 7-20 mm , villous . Flowers yellow with red markings , emerging between the leaves ; calyx ± 4 mm , lobed to half the length , acute , villous ; corolla with standard ± 5 mm . Fruit pod , 9-13 mm , smooth , brown , 3-5-seeded . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 2) .
