Erect perennial herb ; up to 1 . 5 m tall . Stems trailing to sometimes twining , densely velvety tomentose with short , mostly rather spreading greyish-white hairs , glandular . Leaves trifoliolate ; petiole up to 3 cm ; stipules linear-lanceolate , pubescent ; leaflets 7-15 x 7-14 mm , rhomboid , acute at the apex , rounded at the base , terminal leaflets with rachis , lateral leaflets sessile , grey-green , pubescent on both surfaces , more so on the midrib below , glandular . Inflorescences in axillary racemes , 1–10-flowered . Flowers yellow ; calyx ± 5 mm , 5-lobed to 2/3 the length , lobes unequal , the lowest logest , lanceolate , acute , pubescent ; corolla with standard petal ± 5 mm , pubescent and glandular . Fruit pod , 18-22 mm , slightly curved , beaked , pubescent , glandular , brownish , 2-seeded . Seeds red-brown or brown , mottled black , rounded-oblong , compressed . (Ref .
