Leaves mostly 30–75 cm long ; petiole and rhachis eglandular ; stipules obliquely triangular , 0 . 6–1 . 3 cm long ; leaflets in 5–7 (–13) pairs , oblong-elliptic to obovate-elliptic , base rounded to somewhat heart-shaped , tip rounded . Inflorescences in erect axillary racemes . Flowers bright yellow , cup-shaped ; petals 5 , bright yellow , 1 . 7–2 . 2 cm ; stamens 10 ; filaments straight or nearly so . Fruit pod , 12–17(–19) cm , dehiscent , transversely septate , black when ripe , 50-60-seeded . Seeds 6–8 mm , flattened at right angles to the axis of the pod , deltoid-rhombic . (Ref .
