Shrub ; up to 3 m high . Stems erect , branched , pale-green ; young branches with short appressed or spreading hairs . Leaves (3–)5–15 cm . long ; petiole and rhachis eglandular ; stipules subulate , linear or narrowly triangular , 3–5 mm long ; leaflets in (3–)4–8(–12) pairs , lanceolate to narrowly elliptic or elliptic , 1 . 5–5 . 2(–6) cm long , narrowly acute to rounded at apex , with or without a slender mucro up to 1 mm long , appressed-puberulous or pubescent . Inflorescences borne in raceme , up to 15 cm long , at branch ends or in leaf axils . Flowers yellow ; sepals 5 , nearly equal , 1 . 0-1 . 3 cm long ; petals 5 , yellow or orange-yellow , nearly equal , 0 . 7–1 . 7 cm long ; stamens 10 ; filaments straight or nearly so ; anthers 10 . Fruit pod , shortly oblong , slightly curved to almost straight , flattened , dehiscent . Seeds 6–7 mm long , 4 mm wide , transversely arranged , ± compressed , oblong or oblong-ovate . (Ref .
