Sesbania grandiflora (L.) Poir.

This species is native to Malesia, New Guinea (Ref. POWO; 2022); introduced and naturalised elsewhere. There are 4 species of Sesbania found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Deciduous tree ; up to 12 m tall , with soft wood . Stems stout , pubescent when young . Leaves up to 30 cm long ; rachis slightly pubescent or glabrous ; petioles 0 . 7–1 . 5 cm long ; leaflets in 15–21 pairs , opposite to alternate on the same leaf , 1 . 2–4 . 4 cm long , linear-oblong , rounded to obtuse to slightly emarginate at the apex , slightly asymmetrical at the base , sparsely appressed pubescent on both surfaces . Inflorescences in 2–4-flowered racemes . Flowers pink or red or cream-white , 5-10 cm , large , showy ; calyx subtruncate , c . 2 cm long ; corolla white , yellowish , greenish or red , up to 8 cm long ; ovary glabrous , stipitate ; style glabrous , flattened , terminating in a slightly lobed stigma . Fruit pod , 30-50 cm long , with thick broad sutures , 15–50-seeded . Seeds 6 . 5 × 5 mm , dark brown , subreniform , the hilum in a small pit . (Ref . POWO ; 2022) .
