Tephrosia strigosa (Dalzell) Santapau & Maheshw.

This species is native to Socotra, Arabian Peninsula, Indian Subcontinent. (Ref. POWO; 2022). There are 6 species of Tephrosia found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Prostrate annual or a short-lived perennial herb ; up to 30 cm high . Stems branched , slender , spreading , sparsely pilose to pilose . Leaves 1-foliolate , green to pale green ; petiole ± 2 mm ; stipules lanceolate , pilose ; leaflets 20-65 x 2-5 mm , lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate , margins entire , apex acute , apiculate , base obtuse to cuneate , sparsely pilose on the lower surface , glabrous above . Stipules lanceolate , pilose . Inflorescences solitary or 2 in the axils of leaves ; pedicels up to 15 mm , filiform , sparsely pilose . Flowers mauve to pale purple , ± 4 mm ; calyx ± 2 mm , lobes ± 1 mm , lanceolate , the lowest lobe longest , appressed pilose Fruit pod , 15-20 mm , flattened , sparsely to moderately pilose , beaked , valves twisting on dehiscence , 5-10 seeded .
