Trigonella glabra Thunb. subsp. glabra

This subspecies is native to Egypt to Djibouti, Sinai to Arabian Peninsula, India. (Ref. POWO; 2022). There are 4 species of Trigonella found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Annual herb ; up to 40 cm high . Stems procumbent , trailing , glabrous to glabrescent . Leaves 3-foliolate , bright green ; petiole up to 15 mm ; stipules ± 2 mm , linear ; leaflets 6-16 x 4-10 mm , obovate to oblong-obovate , crenate-dentate , apex rounded or frequently emarginated , dentate , base acute , ± pubescent to glabrous . Inflorescences in axillary capitate racemes ; peduncle up to 30 mm ; pedicel 1-2 mm . Flowers small , pale yellow , fragrant , ± 4 mm ; calyx ± 2mm , lobes shorter than the tube , acute , sparsely pubescent to glabrous ; corolla with standard petal 3-4 mm . Fruit pod , 10-12 mm , flattened , curved upwards , beaked , ± glabrous , with prominent oblique and transverse ridges , 4-10-seeded . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 2) .
