Erect , perennial herb , somewhat glaucous ; up to 30 cm high or more , branching from the base . Stems ascending to decimbent to ± erect , 4-angled , glabrous , leafy throughout . Leaves opposite , sessile , lanceolate to narrow elliptic to linear , apex acute , margin entire to minutely denticulate , base cuneate , 3-veined from the base , glabrous . Inflorescences in dense clusters in leaf axils . Flowers white with greenish lines , often drying yellowish , sessile ; calyx 5-lobed to almost the base ; corolla white , tubular ; stamens 5 , filaments inserted on the corolla tube .
