Flowers bright pink ; sepals 5 , distinct , 3-veined , reticulate , 4-5 mm , pubescent at back and especially at base , terminated by 0 . 5 mm purple mucro ; petals 5 , distinct , obovate , clawed , pink-purple to purple-violet , 3-veined , 4-5 mm ; filaments 10 . Fruit mericarps , 3 . 5-4 . 5 cm , hairy , apical pit eglandular , furrow below apical pit absent or present ; beak 3-4(-7) cm , with bristles along the inner side .
