Annual herb . Stems erect or ascending , pubescent with short hairs and longer often glandular hairs . Leaves long-petiolate , orbicular in outline , ± 5 cm in diameter ; blade usually 5- lobed , the lobes divided to about two-thirds of the radius . Inflorescences (1-)2-flowered ; peduncle 0-5 cm long , glandular-pilose . Flowers mauve or pink ; sepals narrowly ovate , to 10 mm long in fruit , 2-fid , mucronate ; petals 6-10 mm long , mauve or pink with a dark purple centre . Fruit mericarps , 4-6 mm long , orange , glabrous , with strongly incurved dentate wings . Seeds 2-3 mm long , minutely reticulate , brownish . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 2) .
