Leaves mostly opposite , 10-20 x 4-6 mm , sessile or obscurely petiolate , the apex rounded , obtuse or subacute . Inflorescences sessile or pedunculate , umbelliform , congested to very lax , 3-40-flowered . Flowers hermaphrodite , greenish or greenish-white , often with a pink , mauve or yellowish tinge ; sepals c . 2 mm , ovate ; petals absent ; stamens 5 . Fruit achene , ± 1 mm , papillose .
