Leaves opposite , broad-ovate to elliptic , rugose , usually green or dark above , densely tomentose , obtuse apex , broadly cuneate to rounded base , crenulate margin ; petiole up to 2 . 5 cms , usually much less . Inflorescences borne in cymes on slender lateral branches , lax , forming often leafy racemes . Flowers white tinged or spotted pink ; calyx 2-3 . 5 mm , campanulate ; teeth short , subequal , broad triangular ; corolla white tinged or spotted pink or violet .
