Inflorescences in long terminal or axillary cymes , spreading . Flowers tiny , fragrant , lavender to tiny , fragrant , lavender to pale violet ; calyx ± 3 mm , campanulate , 5-toothed , persistent , forming a cup-like structure below the fruit ; corolla white , blue or purple , 7-10 mm , 2-lipped , 4-lobed ; lower lobes ± pubescent ; stamens 4 , inserted in the corolla tube , exserted .
