Perennial aquatic herb ; up to 8 cm long , floating , with few filiform rhizoids . Stolons 2 or 3 from the base of the scape , filiform , glabrous , sparingly branched , green to greenish-yellow ; internodes 10 mm . Leaves submerged , very numerous , primary segments pinnately divided , secondary dichotomously divided into many segments , the ultimate segments ± flattened , filiform , green to greenish-yellow ; traps usually numerous , tiny , egg-shaped , bladder-like , dimorphic , lateral , ovoid , with a short stalk ± 2 mm , mouth lateral with 2 simple or branched dorsal appendages ; basal traps ovoid , with a basal mouth ; internal glands 2- and 4-armed . Inflorescences weakly erect , up to 15 cm high , peduncle filiform , glabrous ; scales present in the upper half of the peduncle ; bracts ± circular . Flowers pale yellow with reddish-brown markings on lower lip , ±15 mm long ; calyx 2-lobed , lobes ± equal , 2-3 mm ; corolla bilabiate , yellow , ± 10 mm ; upper lip braodly ovate ; lower lip reniform to transversely ... elliptic , the base with a prominent swelling ; filaments filiform ; anther-thecae confluent .
