Leaves 1-8 x 1-7 cm , broadly ovate to heart-shaped , obtuse at the apex , cordate at the base , with irregularly denticulate-serrate margins ; petiole as long as the blade ; stipules filiform . Inflorescences solitary , in leaf axils or on short axillary branches , c . 2 . 5 cm across ; pedicel 0 . 5-5 cm , slender , terete . Flowers pale-yellow ; calyx 3-4 mm , 5-lobed , acute ; petals 10-11 mm , obovate , notched at the apex . Fruit mericarps divided into (8-)10(-11) parts , brown , hairy , 3-seeded .
