Cienfuegosia welshii (T.Anderson) Garcke

This species is native to NE Ethiopia, and to N Somalia, S Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There is only one species of Cienfuegosia occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Annual or perennial herb , or subshrub ; up to 1 m tall , with a pungent smell . Stems erect to decumbent , glabrous or puberulous . Leaves ± 3 cm across , roughly orbicular in outline , shallowly 3-lobed with sinuate margins , glabrous to puberulous or scabrid on veins ; petiole about as long as the leaves . Inflorescences solitary , in leaf axils ; pedicels 0 . 3–6 cm long , glabrous or puberulous . Flowers about 3 cm across , yellow with crimson spots and a crimson centre ; calyx ± 3 mm , dark gland dotted along the veins ; petals 14-15 mm , obovate . Fruit capsule , 1 . 8-2 cm , green with crimson blotches , ellipsoid to subglobose , appressed pubescent or subglabrous . Seeds 4–5 mm long , densely covered with brownish hairs . (Ref . Not used traditionally. However, both vernacular names 'suh al housh' and 'tomar horoun' literally translated as "dates of goats" refers to the fact the plant is loved and browsed by goats. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).
