Hibiscus micranthus L.f.

This species is native to seasonally dry tropical areas of Africa, Madagascar, the Arabian Peninsula, Iran, the Indian Subcontinent, and Myanmar. (Ref. https://en.wikipedia.org). There are 9 known species of Hibiscus found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

subshrub ; up to 60 cm tall . Stems erect , branched , stiff , densely stellate-pubescent with adpressed and stellate hairs . Leaves 12-20 x 10-18 mm , petiolate , broadly ovate , apex obtuse , base truncate , margin serrate , stellate-hairy ; petiole 1–5 mm long ; stipule subulate , spinescent . Inflorescences solitary , in leaf axils ; pedicel 3–50 mm long , erect in fruit . Flowers about 1 . 5 cm across , pale yellow to white ; calyx 6-8 mm , fused below ; corolla ± 8 mm , obovate-oblong , reflexed at anthesis , pale yellow to white . Fruit capsule , 7-9 mm in diameter , subglobose , hirsute , 3-4-seeded . Seeds 2–3 x 1 . 5–2 mm , reniform , black , covered with long white hairs . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
