Inflorescences solitary , in leaf axils ; pedicels 0 . 5–2 cm long , articulated near the base . Flowers pale-yellow with a purple base , 1 . 5 cm across ; epicalyx of 7–8 bracts ; bracts 12–15 mm long , ± filiform or narrowly linear ; calyx 8-10 mm , 5-lobed , green-veined ; corolla ± 10 mm , obovate .
