Sshrublet or a woody herb ; up to 30 cm high . Stems and branches intricate , somewhat spinous , scabrous to hispid . Leaves subsessile , 5-12 x 5-10 mm , obovate to oblanceolate , apex obtuse , base tapering into the petiole , margin toothed above , entire below , stellate-hairy ; stipules spinescent . Inflorescences solitary , in leaf axils ; pedicels 2–7 mm long , articulated near the base to near the apex . Flowers white or yellow , about 1 cm across ; epicalyx 3-5 mm , lanceolate ; calyx 5-8 mm , fused below ; corolla longer than the sepals ; staminal tube short . Fruit capsule , 6-8 mm in diameter , globose , puberulous . Seeds covered with long , white hairs . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
