Hypertelis cerviana (L.) Thulin

This species is native to Europe, Asia-Tropical, Africa, Southern America, Northern America and Asia-Temperate. (Ref. https://www.flowersofindia.net). There is only one species of Hypertelis occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Delicate annual herb ; up to 10 cm high , glabrous . Stems erect to ascending , many-stemmed , rigid , slender , pale brownish ; lower part of stem usually leafless with the leaves withering soon . Leaves sessile , often glaucous ; upper leaves in whorls ; cauline leaves 5-18 mm , linear . Inflorescences 1–4-flowered , in terminal and axillary , umbellate cymes , sessile or pedunculate ; pedicels slender , straight , rather rigid , 5–18 mm long , usually exceeding the leaves . Flowers greenish-white ; sepals , 1-3 mm , green with white margins , persistent ; petals absent ; stamens 5 . Fruit capsule , spherical , dehiscing by 3 valves . Seeds c . 0 . 2 mm long , numerous , 3-angled-pyriform , brown , compressed , triangular in outline , shining . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
