الاستخدامات

In Omani studies: Miller & Morris (1988) mentioned that: "The tiny fruits of F. palmata, (J: elos, bols), were not eaten in Dhofar, they remain small and do not grow to a useful size. The wood equally was of no use, being too porous and spongy for either building purposes or for burning as fuel". (Ref. Plants of Dhofar). In addition, Ghazanfar (2003) wrote that: "The rough, scabrid leaves are used as a scourer or an abrasive in some parts of northern Oman. The figs are edible". (Ref. Flora of Oman; vol.1).
