Inflorescences an axillary , pedunculate 3-flowered cyme , each flower subtended by a persistent , often brightly-coloured , ovate bract adnate to the pedicel . Flowers perianth , 5-merous , trumpet-shaped with slightly inflated base , pale yellow ; stamens c . 8 , not exserted .
