Perennial subshrub ; up to 50 cm tall , arising from a woody base . Stems much branched , ± fleshy , glandular-pubescent with crisp hairs below , sticky to touch . Leaves opposite , 10-25 x 8-25 mm , ovate to suborbicular or obcordate , margins sinuate . Inflorescences in umbels or usually in 2–3 superposed whorls ; pedicels 1-4 mm . Flowers perianth , pink-purple , 5-8 mm , glabrous , narrowly funnel-shaped , base enclosing the ovary , persistent ; stamens 3 . Fruit anthocarp , 6-7 mm , fusiform , yellow-brown , glands stalked at the apex , sessile on the ribs . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
