Cistanche rosea Baker

This species is native to Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 2 species of Cistanche found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

An erect perennial herb ; up to 20 cm high , parasitic . Stems erect , fleshy , unbranched , often swollen towards the base , pinkish-red , fleshy , glabrous . Leaves sessile , imbricate , 10–20 x 8-10 mm , ovate to ovate-oblong , obtuse , glabrous , fleshy , pinkish-red . Inflorescences in dense terminal spikes 8–20 cm , ± cylindrical ; bract smaller than flowers , glabrous ; bracteoles 2 , lanceolate , adnate to the calyx . Flowers hermaphrodite , bilaterally symmetrical ; calyx 12-15 mm , campanulate , 5-lobed ; corolla , narrow infundibuliform , curved or straight , rose-pink to pale pink , glabrous ; stamens 4 ; filaments hairy below ; anthers villous ; stigma orangy-red . Fruit capsule . Seeds not seen . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .

Not recorded yet. However the local name 'béḏaḥ asperi' literally means "jinn's béḏaḥ" where 'béḏaḥ' is a name used for the common plant in Dhofar, Gladiolus candidus. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).
