Leaves 2–7 × 1 . 5–5 mm , ovate to suborbicular , base shortly attenuate , apex obtuse , margins entire , densely pubescent on both surfaces ; petiole 0 . 5–2 mm . Inflorescences axillary , solitary in lax racemes ; bracts as leaves but smaller ; pedicels 2–3 mm . Flowers yellow with purplish veins and reddish spots ; calyx 5-lobed , 5–9 mm , lobed to half the length , lobes triangular , pubescent outside and pilose with few glandular hairs inside ; corolla yellow with purplish veins and reddish spots on the lower lip , 9–11 mm , 2-lipped ; tube 5–6 mm , pubescent ; upper lip triangular with revolute margins , apex retuse or 2-toothed ; lower lip 3-lobed , lobes obovate , not spreading , sparsely pilose medially inside ; stamens 4 ; filaments sparsely pilose at the base with short glandular hairs ; thecae stipitate .
