Leaves opposite , simple , 1-4 . 5 cm long , elliptic , obovate or oblong , rounded or truncate tip , sometimes fleshy ; petiole 0 . 5–3 . 5 cm long . Inflorescences solitary . Flowers creamy yellow to white , usually with a purple blotch in the throat , 1 . 5-2 cm across ; calyx-lobes lanceolate , acuminate ; corolla-tube glandular ; stamens 0 . 5-1 cm long ; anthers kidney shaped . Fruits 1–2 cm long , sparsely glandular , rugose or tuberculate on the face . Seeds 6 mm . long , 1 . 5 mm broad , elongate-elliptic , 3-angled towards the apex . (Ref . POWO ; 2022) .
