Leaves succulent , sessile , 1 . 5–8 × 1 . 5–4 mm , broadly ovate to obovate or spathulate , obtuse , hirsute . Inflorescences 2–4 , axillary , with short pedicels ; bracts and bracteoles up to 3 mm , narrow , hirsute . Flowers pink to reddish-brown ; calyx 5-lobed ; lobes 2–5 mm , narrow elliptic ; corolla pink to reddish-brown ; tube 6–9 mm , bent just above the calyx , hirsute outside ; lobes ± 3 mm , broadly ovate , acute ; stamens 2 ; filaments glabrous ; anthers confluent .
